Shift Your Mindset, Direct Your Behavior, Transform Your Workplace
Throughout these pages, Valeria Aloe takes us on a transformative journey. She examines how ancestral cultural messages—such as “be humble”, “just work hard”, “be grateful for what you already have”, and “don’t create conflict”— hinder our professional growth, and offers a professional success roadmap tailored to our unique cultural needs, with clear call to actions in every chapter.
This book invites us to unlearn cultural mindsets holding us back, to rebel against the remnants of machismo, colorism, and scarcity rooted in our collective unconscious, and to become courageous leaders committed to transforming our mindsets to then radically transform our workplaces.
“This work is validating, made me feel less alone in my experiences, and it gave me an actionable plan to emancipate from our cultural limiting beliefs. I feel seen and heard.” Sara

"I love how Valeria talks about how our extremely high self-expectations fall into an unreachable perfectionism that is not healthy for us. I also love and appreciate how she talks about having a mindset of competition is so common for so many of us AND is preventing us from moving forward. Talking about colorism and classism which are so common in our Latinx community feels not only necessary but even healing in a way."
